IBMS members took part in International Biomedical Laboratory Science Day, which was held in April.
The day is to recognise and celebrate the profession and the vital responsibility of biomedical laboratory personnel in preventative and diagnostic healthcare systems.
This year’s theme related to health issues and supported the UN and WHO Sustainable Development Goals. The theme was: “Antibiotic resistance: biomedical laboratory scientists respond to the global threat”.
Activities on the day, which is organised by the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science, included hands-on events, presentations and displays.
