Biomedical scientists and IBMS members have been promoting and discussing the profession at debates and talks over recent weeks.
Among these was IBMS Council member Sandra Phinbow, who gave a presentation at the live-streaming event EuroSciCon.
Her talk was called: “Honey, is it just for toast? A look at honey in the treatment of complex wounds.”
IBMS members Karolina Wojcik and Derrick Edgerton took part in a careers talk at King’s College London, while Derrick Edgerton, Victoria Ipindamitan and Paul Samou spoke at a student fair in East Dulwich.
IBMS members also volunteered at the Skills Show at the Birmingham NEC and Catherine Lorenzen gave a talk at Kent College, Canterbury (sixth form).
