It is with sadness that we report the passing of a colleague and a friend, Jayantilal (Jay) Bhundia, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jay retired as a chief BMS in perinatal pathology seven years ago. He began his career in the NHS in March 1971 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and more recently worked at Queen Charlotte’s, Hammersmith, and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Jay had many years of active service in the perinatal and fetal pathology department at Hammersmith Hospital, London. He has also worked in general pathology as well as microbiology. Jay was a dedicated professional who took pride in his work. His sense of humour and love of food and old Indian Bollywood songs will be deeply missed.
