The IBMS hosted a Biomedical Science Day on 19 July, to coincide with the 135th birthday of founder Albert Norman MBE.
The aim was to raise public awareness of the importance of biomedical science and the vital role it plays in the world.
The theme for the first Biomedical Science Day was celebrating the diverse roles of IBMS members.
There were a range of events and activities across the UK, and the Institute created free posters for members.
Throughout the day, the IBMS posted live updates on social media channels and encouraged members to contribute.
