Sunderland Award
Harry Carr was awarded the IBMS President’s Prize at his graduation ceremony from the University of Sunderland
Debra Padgett, IBMS Council Member – North East Region, presented the award after he achieved a First-Class Applied Biomedical Science Honours degree. His final year project was on improving patient outcomes following organ transplantation.
Harry said: “It was a wonderful surprise to receive the award, it’s nice to be recognised for the work I’ve done over the past year.”
Success in Glasgow
The recipient of the IBMS President’s prize at Glasgow Caledonian University was William Johnston.
William was awarded a First-Class Honours degree in Applied Biomedical Science. He undertook his clinical placement in the Cell Science Laboratories at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
William has been accepted to study for a PhD at the Glasgow Dental Hospital. He is pictured being presented with his prize by Allan Wilson, IBMS Council Member.
