The newly launched Matrix Orbital Delta Plus has received a prestigious design award.
It is one of two new thermoshakers, which complete the IKA Matrix product portfolio. 
These compact devices improve optimal mixing of small and very small volumes. 
The Matrix Orbital Delta Plus has been awarded the 2021 German Design Award thanks to the diecast housing, clear shape, smooth surface and inventive layout.

BC Platforms
COVID and serology

BC Platforms has been appointed as data platform partner in a cross-UK project to enable research by connecting COVID-19 data derived from patients’ serology  samples, and improve the UK’s resilience to the novel coronavirus.
The project aims to make the most of this valuable resource for research and innovation, and ensure it is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. 
This 18-month project is funded by UK Research and Innovation and the National Institute for Health Research.

Atik Cameras
Camera for COVID testing

In response to global demand for dependable technologies designed to optimise COVID-19 testing, Atik Cameras, specialist designer and manufacturer of advanced scientific imaging solutions, has developed the new VS255 and VS825 cameras.
They are for use specifically with quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) instruments – the most commonly used systems for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. 
These custom cameras, which mark the latest additions to Atik Cameras’ VS Series of scientific charge-coupled-device cameras, offer sensitivity and high-quality images.
