The event was organised by the North Wales Branch Committee and incorporated their local branch AGM. Both AGMs were conducted and all officers were returned for a further year unopposed.

The Welsh Regional Council member took great pride in presenting a Fifty Year Medal to Yvonne Webbern. David Lamping, a senior biomedical scientist, received the John Armitage Achievement Award.

There were also three lectures delivered to those in attendance at the day. Feedback from local and council issues was given and discussed and it was verbally agreed that the Wales Region will take part in the Welsh National Eisteddfod this year.
