Jen Johnson bursary announced

A new bursary has been launched to help members attend IBMS Congress. The Jen Johnson Bursary is awarded in memory of Council member Jen Johnson, who sadly passed away in March 2016.

She dedicated 14 years to the IBMS Council, where she served as Chair of Membership Committee and, later, as Honorary Treasurer. In 2013, Jen was awarded Life Membership of IBMS for her outstanding contribution to the organisation and the profession.

She played a pivotal role in developing Congress and was passionate about enabling members to attend. The Jen Johnson Bursary will provide 10 successful applicants a grant of up to £1,000 to help them attend IBMS Congress.

Applicants must be an IBMS member in the grades of Licentiate, Member or Fellow; be enrolled on an IBMS qualification and use the bursary towards IBMS Congress 2017 delegate fees, accommodation and travel.

Applicants are asked to submit a 500-word supporting statement outlining their motivations for attending and how it will benefit them and their team or workplace. For more information and to submit a completed form, email [email protected]

The deadline for entries is 7 April and application forms can be downloaded from www.ibms.org/resources/news
